Close-up of Good Friday

I like my close-up of the painting more than the whole painting. Maybe, it is because the face is easier to look at than the whole of the cross. But, while I was painting the whole piece, I was struck again by the horror of the cross. I am so very thankful for grace. God's loving grace. Now, it is finished and we have peace with God. Jesus gave us an amazing gift!
