Haiti

I am just watching the news about the earthquake in Haiti. Lord have mercy. Many people were just trying to survive even without an earthquake. All looking for a way out. Profoundly sad. I pray for those who are bringing help. People still alive under the rubble. Crushingly poor. Such a sense of enormous gravity. Lord, please bring grace through loving and helpful people.

I have found a photograph of an elderly woman sitting in the rubble. I am going to sketch her tonight.
