Rain, Rain, Rain

When somebody (me) has a cold and it rains for endless days (drip, drip, drip..... hour after hour, day after day), the memories of hot, sunny Italian days sparkle in my mind's eye. I miss those pots of red geraniums scattered on balconies and greeting visitors at many little shops. However, I am too sick to focus on details of a drawing or painting. Maybe after a little nap.

I have just returned from saying farewell for now to everyone in my small group. They have been just like these sunny geraniums through the amazing past year of my life. I have been so bountifully blessed by each of them. So, in honor of Kelly, John, Katie, Jack, Ginny, Kathleen, Janet, Glen, Leo, Lee and Gary, here is the beginning of a geranium watercolor. Thank you, friends!

Geraniums need to be in color! So, that will be for tomorrow, perhaps.
