Portraits and Italiano

I've just returned from Italiano classe or class' Italiano, where I handed out cards of my art. My instructor said I was fantastic, well, he is Italiano, but I ended up giving cards to everyone. One man asked if his wife could take lessons from me! I told them about the blog, and they got the whole Julie and Julia connection. I thought for just a momento that I am really an artiste!

I just can't really explain how much I enjoy learning, hearing and speaking Italiano. It even surprises me. I am really looking forward to my trip this summer, and I hope to spend at least a week in language school in Lucca, Italia because the classes are all solo Italiano,  no englaise! And, I think I will be freer with my painting and sketching by then.

OK, it is late, and I need to start a portrait. I'll post it in an hour. That's a good goal for drawing fast for me!.............OK, I began a portrait of my daughter, Annie. It's getting there. Sleep calls!
